New owner of a 1967 400 TH400 (numbers matching) needing complete restoration.
Now the bad news...
Somewhere over the years, someone decided to do some crazy things to it. Now I have to backtrack and try to return it to 90% original. Crazy stuff like spray painting every interior part blue (with overspray everywhere!), hacked wire harnesses, you name it!!
I need help with the interior. If anyone has any pictures you could send of your deluxe interior it would help. It was originally bright blue interior and I would like to return it to factory. Because everything is blue, I'm not sure what was factory black and what was bright blue!
Information & pictures of the quarter dome lens (it has a standard lens), rear arm rests (It has them, but has a factory fold down seat!), console, and dash.
Thanks for the help, and I am sure this will be the first of many questions!
Everything inside my car was painted an odd shade of blue at some point. What is colored (Med Bright Blue) and what, if anything is black?
Also, any informaton on the deluxe dome lights would help. I for some reason have the standard dome light, not the two seperate ones for the deluxe. Any information on instalation position would help!
My deluxe interior color is 255 on the tag which would match you. Unfortunately it was altered as well but if you PM me with your email address I can supply some photos of interiors I have collected that may help you. Ames does supply seat covers, door panels etc for medium bright blue interior. Nothing other than a console clock would be black in the car.
I know it's not a Firebird, but my '66 Le Mans has a factory blue interior. Dash, dashpad, door tops, pillar trims, sunvisors, headliner, console base, grab bar, seats, seat backs, steering column, steering wheel center cap, carpet, kick panels, package shelf...EVERYTHING is blue except the instrument cluster bezel and console top.

Yellowbird, Even my instrument cluster bezel and console is blue!! Worst part is it has all been spray painted in place a non-factory color, so it's tough making heads or tails out of any of it!!
I got a 255 bright blue deluxe interior in a 67 Firebird convertible.
Personally, I shot it with "bumper" paint to the 255 spec from House of Kolor. Second best $70 I've ever spent. Did the seats, panels, dash pad, kicks, console, speedo bezel, everything, came out awesome... everybody flips its painted. But the real issue is the condition of the interior plastic, seat foam and vinyl. Replace all if necessary, painting is secondary.
Your horizontal dash surface (where the AM speaker grille is centered) is a darker evil mysterious kind of blue, it matches nothing else that I know of. There is no black anywhere except the area surrounding the lens of the speedo/fuel bezel. The door panels have an integrated custom armrest and door release handles. There is also an "oh my god" handle above the glovebox.
