I am looking at a conversion to Disc and am interested in what I need. I have a 68 with power drum currently. Most of the kits mention buying a 9" vacuum booster or some come with them. Is this required with my current setup?

Check the FAQ section (starting from the home page)

A disc master will fit on that booster. There were some internal differences, but it should be at least as good as the aftermarket 9" boosters.

You'll need a power disc master cyl. Just make sure the pushrod hole matches the rod length. 68 should have the regular "power brakes" short rod.

Bob, also check the Parts For Sale section as there is a guy (74GTO) selling a front disc set up... I have no idea how complete it is, but it would be a good start?

Hey Buddy...

I went Baer all the way around... and yes, definately front first.. rear is almost optional..

I talked to Dutch @ Baer, fitted me with a sport system for $2000. Cross-drilled, slotted, zinc washed, dual piston calipers. Thought it was a better deal than Stainless Steel Brake Systems.
