I have a '67 400 with a TH400. It has no parts for the Kickdown switch at all. What is the best source for all the parts needed?
I looked and searched and found the LOKAR and the B&M units. Which would I be better off using? Im not to sure how the LOKAR unit connects.n What about a GM unit?
I'm not worried about stock appearence. It currently has an Edlebrock Carb and an OLD edlebrock intake on it.
How do both of these units hook up? Wire harness, direct cable?
From what I have researched, the only real difference is that the B&M switch mounts at the carb, while the Lokar unit mounts to the tranny pan. Thus the Lokar unit provides for a "cleaner" appearance which is important for street rods builders.
So far these are the only choices unless you want to take your chances with a 40 year old OEM unit off of E-bay for Big Bucks.

I had to sell it. 1980 Turbo Trans Am 1970 Mustang fastback, 351C 4Bbl, auto 1988 Mustang GT, 5 speed 1983 F-150 4x4, built 302 1994 Chevy K2500 HD 4x4, 454 TBI
From what I saw, there is a cable that runs from the carb down to the switch.
I would really be interested in a write-up about how it goes.
