Has anyone else ordered the repro "bat wing" from Ames? I got mine today and am not that impressed. Just wondering if that is par for the course on this piece or if I just happened to get a bad one.

I think they even say in the catalog that the wing needs a lot of attention, = sanding etc...
never seen them myself.

I got one too. It was very rough and will need a lot of sanding. And it doesn't even have the holes to screw in the rubber cushion. Not very impressed either.

On the '69s it's the filler between the hood and the front bumper.

I bought one too. Wait until you try to put the holes and screws in that rock hard material it's made of. It's the best one out there though.

I bought a used and repaired some cracks with fiberglass....it also had the rubber piece on it....check EBay...or call Terry Ritter or FirebirdBill , or Chicago Muscle cars

there is going to be a better filler panel coming out in the next 6 to 12 months.they will be much more expensive allthough.i will be selling them.i also sell the ones that are on the market now for 79.00 plus shipping.
