Hi,

While cleaning out the garage today I came across a box full of AC parts that I think either came out of a '68 bird or '72 GTO I had many years ago.

There were many metal brackets and the only stamping I could find on one was 499749.

There were 3 cast alum. brackets (large one was unstamped, the other 2#'s are 9786814 and 9786903.

The AC compressor has a Delco Air Decal w/ Model# 5910738.

There was a fridgidair piece w/ the R12 fittings (Y108 and 0593 on it).

The last is a stewart warner piece w/ inlet and outlet and a removable filter. It has 1 white and 1 black wire coming out of it.

Any help I.D.ing these parts would be appreciated.

Must be the GTO because the numbers do not match Firebird.

Posting a few pictures of the stuff might not be a bad idea for those of us with cars but not parts books. Especially those of us with a later model GTO who might be looking for A/C hardware.

I took a quick look in the '72 parts book and didn't see any of those numbers.

Hollander identifies the compressor sticker as a 77-78 model radial style, if it's the radial style it won't interchange with GTO or Firebird but if it's the axial style it will.
