Its nearing time to begin assymbly, actualy adding parts instead of taking them away... So im wondering about a transmission. I have a 400, and its going to have some power behind it once its done, and im starting to think i might like a manuel tranny. Ive heard a few people people say a muncie 4-speed is a good way to go. Anyone want to help me out here? Im looking to find out what kind of work would be needed to put in a good solid manuel transmission for street/strip and maybe where i could get one. The car its going in had, at one point, an automatic(i beleive a TH400, but that was a long time ago), so is there any kind of mods needed to go from an auto car to a manuel setup? Thanks in advance.
My dad and i, due to some interesting twists of events, both have incomplete birds now. If I go with a manuel, hes going to go with the Th400, and visa versa. So im just trying to figure out which would be the best way for me to go. A manuel sure would be fun to have, but I dont want to go overboard and get ahead of myself.
