Has anyone used one of those disk brake conversion kits that are all over ebay with 14" rally II wheels. I found one that I thought I'd bid on but the guy said it would only work with 15" wheels. Not much interested in changing all my tires and wheels. Anyone know of one that will work with 14" wheels (code on wheels is KM)......thanks
I think there are factory setups that worked with those wheels. But, I also wish there was a kit available that would work with them. Haven't seen it specified since most seem to assume 15" or more.
Back years ago, when these cars were new. Discs were an option and when you ordered disc brakes they actually came with different (disc brake) wheels that would fit over the discs.
I can remember swapping wheels back in the early 70's and you had to be sure to get the disc brake versions if you had discs in front.

Lee is correct. However, some people have still found problems with the aftermarket brake kits and the factory Rally II's for disk brakes.

I have 69 with factory disc option and 14 " rims..... by the way ,has anybody but me found out that its harder to find 14" tires lately...at least in wider stuff, no longer 14" 245`s...I just bought some 235`s to replace.... maybe should start a new thread on that?
Hey Bjorn, I have. I tried to find new 14's (tires and wheels) for my Challenger and couldn't find any in wider sizes. Ended up having to buy 15" wheels and tires. Even that was tough to find the tread width I wanted and still stay close to the overall diameter of the original 14's.

My 68 had factory 4 piston calipers with 14" rally II's. This summer i changed over to 69FB single piston. Easy 1 hour swap. I was proud. Imagine how i felt when i tried to put the wheels back on and they wedged against the top of the caliper. Why would they make 2 different sizes? Luckly, i had a set of 15" Rallys laying around.
I just converted to discs from drums. I have 14x7 Rallye II wheels. The disc brake system I installed was off of a 1970 Grand Prix. I bought Stainless Steel Brakes slotted rotors and pads from Summit Racing for about $200.00. They fit.
