CAN ANYBODY HELP ME IDENTIFY THIS 69 FIREBIRD INDASH TACH AND 160 SPEEDO. ON THE RIGHT IS THE 160 SPEEDO WITH THE BRAKE LIGHT AT BOTTOM. ON LEFT IS 8000 RPM TACK WITH NO RED LINE, IT ALSO STARTS AT 10 OCLOCK POSITION AND GOES TO 2 OCLOCK. FUEL GUAGE AT TOP. TEMP LIGHT ON LEFT SIDE [8 OCLOCK] GEN. LIGHT AT BOTTOM , OIL LIGHT OF RIGHT SIDE [4 OCLOCK]. VERY DIFFERENT THAN THE TRANS AM ONES THAT I HAVE SEEN. iS IT RARE? i HAVE NEVER SEEN ANOTHER AND CANNOT FIND A PICTURE OR ANY INFO ON IT. TACHMAN SAYS IN 27 YEARS HE HAS NEVER SEEN ONE. DEFINATELY CAME OUT OF 69 FIREBIRD DASH. COULD NOT POST PICS, BUT IF YOUR INTERESTED I CAN E-MAIL PICTURES TO YOU. THANKS
Not sure but is a 69' GTO cluster the same as a 69' firebird? I thought i heard that somewhere.Could it be from a GTO?

Jim, does it look like any 69 Camaro items you've ever seen? What ever it turns out to be, it would be kool to get it refurbished and working... Always keep onlookers guessing, That's for sure?
It does seems to be factory and not altered , It has printed numbers on the circuit plastic that I think would be a date of R 6 23 69 also another number6295409. Jim could you e-mail me a picture of the back of your 69 speedo dgwynn58@yahoo.com thanks Dan
It doesn't look like any Camaro parts I've seen. What it appears to be is the in dash tach option in a 1969 Firebird without the step gauges. Unheard of, but here it is. Pic sent Dan.
I've searched numerous if not a hundred of 8000 rpm tachs and cannot find this particular one . Any ex pontiac employees that worked in the tach department out there, they could tell us what went on back then and what this was built for.. haha. Dan
By my parts catalog, that number applies to the standard instrument panel printed circuit.
6295409 ALL - EXC RALLY OR AUXILIARY GAUGES
Again by my catalog, there were only three different combinations of instruments: standard (fuel gauge and idiot lights), auxiliary (fuel, oil, temp and amps), and the Rally gauges (in-dash tach with 270 degree sweep and the stacked gauges).
I have gauge/speedo pods from both the ’69 Firebird and GTO. Both are the same but with one difference. The A body cars got the 120 MPH speedos. T/As received the tach in the left pod and stepped gauges. I’ve never seen that left pod warning light/ tach configuration. Bet ya it was fabricated.
