If I am planning to relocate my oil filter to ease access to the filter duing oil changes, what size should I tap the holes in the block to? I am planning drill and tap the oil holes on the block and use an NPT to 10 AN adapter and run 10AN braided lines to the remote filter to be mounted on the firewall.
Should I drill and tap it to 3/4 NPT or 1/2 inch NPT?
It might be easier to get an adapter plate that you bolt onto the pad with the stock bolts but has the tapped holes to attach the hoses. That way you're not butchering the block. I've seen those adapter plates on e-bay and from places like Butler.
