I am in negotiations with a local fiberglass company to reproduce my "Stinger" hood....aka Drew Helm Hood. LOL
I'm gauging interested and soliciting feedback for pricing. What do you guys think they will be worth? I'm thinking everything else on the market is 350-650. I'm thinking pricing them about $450 as a bolt on glass hood in gel coat and ready to prep and paint.
Thoughts?
The hood can be seen in the link in my signature. This is NOT a cheap ply for votes in the online show.....I am seriously negotiating with a local company....
You asked for thoughts. I'll try to be constructive, but blunt.
I think flat FGF hoods might sell better. They are getting a tad bit hard to find.
I have a metal 400 hood on my car and I won't be buying one of yours - NOT because your hood isn't cool, just my own personal taste (or lack thereof.)
Put a feeler out to CI and Ames to see if you can sell some to them. I've put a couple feelers into CI before and they were COMPLETELY unsupportive. (I wanted to do a repro deluxe steering wheel center cap insert and they never got back to me after repeated attempts.)
That could be kinda cool to have available on the market. Not sure if I would put one on my car, but if I were going more "mod" and less original, then it would be a nice addition, instead of the 400 hood. The scoop certainly seems functional!
