I know that this has been addressed in depth before and I apologize for hitting it again, but, I copied the placement template for the hood tach and now that I look at it and measure it out on my 69 ram air hood, it lines up half way on the scoop. shouldn't it just fit in the hollow area on the underside(single sheet) of the hood drivers side?

Some may disagree, but I believe this to be the most accurate location for the hood tach.

I belive that's how mine is but it does not dit square/straight with the windshield it's on a angle.

I know people said my hood tach was in the wrong spot, But they were wrong...period. That was when they were trying to cause trouble.... Take a look at the pictures on the link below, you will see that the tach fits and looks perfectly on my car. Keep in mind, 1967 hood tachs are much larger then 68 and up. In fact they actually bolt up diierently (one riffet)as well as screws and they only had one light bulb vs two on 68 and up cars. BTW, A 4" hole saw works perfectly when instaling one.

John, looks within a half inch of where mine is as well, maybe exact same spot.

Doug, there should be ZERO angle, the tach should look directly into the drivers face.

I don't know I was also told that they were supposed to be on a angle to prevent sun glare.
