I broke the boss on my manifold, the one to the head pipe. Can this be welded-brazed , or is it a lost cause.I tried to read the #, but it looks like its been under sea for ever. 9796992-3 is my best guess, any help is much appreciated!

There are places that do this repair, such as a place that repairs tractors. It's not a DIY project for your MIG. It may be easire to find a one used. There's a discussion about welding cast iron at
