I want 15" rally II from wheel vintiques but im very nurvous about rubbing can someone help me?

I run stock 15X7" Rallye II's with 245/60-15's with some rubbing in the front on hard turns and no rubbing in the rear.

What if i put on 245/50-15's on the front would that help?

A 50 series tire is shorter than a 60.
The first # 245 is the width.

See 245 or the 1st # is the width of the tire in M.M. I think ?
But the 2nd # is the height to width ratio meaning that the tire is 50% as tall and the tire is wide or 60% or whatever the 2nd # may be.
And of course the last # 15 is the rim size.

what about going with BFGoodrich Radial T/A Tires
215 / 60R15 in front? this will fit on 15"x7" wheels right?

I run 215/60/R15 BFGs on the front and 235/60/R15 BFGs on the rear of my 69 Bird with no rubbing,I have 15x7 rally II rims.

I have the same tire and no rubbing.

I also have Rally II's in a 15" Stock offset and have 225/50/15's all the way around with no problems on my 67 drop top.





And have some room to spare. I know many who run a 235 or 245 in the rear on 67/68's and are ok.

I think it would be a good idea if you ran say a 225 or 215 in the front if you are at all worried. I've always liked the 50 series just for the fact that it has a stiffer sidewall and usually is more responsive in cornering... even though I don't drive as hard as I used to... (And haven't had a ticket in many years) Hmmm? I wonder if there is something to that?... Naw....

If you were going up to a 17" or 18" wheel, I'd sweat the details, and tripple check the specs, but on a 15" Rally II, you should be just fine!

Is there any reason the tires are so cheap like $80-100? However its not like im complaining or anything

BFG T/A's are quality tires. Don't be afraid of them. I,ve gone through more than one set on previous cars. Always had good luck with them.

Does anyone know where i can find 215/50-15 or 225/50-15 for the fron in the BFG T/A's? i cant find them, their all 60's!

Mine are the Euro Radial TA's... but I would think if you had a store like Discount Tire or the Tire Rack etc locally, you would be better off stopping by and have them look up the tire. I know they are avaialable... everyone has them and everyone uses them in the standard BFG Radial TA. Has to be one of the most popular tires around. On line it seems that your choices are limited, but at a local store... they can get just about anything!
