What makes the 69' M/T pedals different from 67-68 and also Camaro?

Can you use a 70' - 81' pedal kit on a 69'?

67-68 pedals are slightly different BUT they will work. Camaro are the same. The 70-81 pedals are more different and will not work right.

I had a 68 assembly, It had an additional brace welded to the pedal box, otherwise it looked identical.When i tried to combine the best of both 68-69 I found that there were clearance problems between the pedals where they fit in the brace.Also I think there was a slight difference in overall length that may have to do with the dash board to firewall difference.Dont know about the 70-81 but I suspect the angle and length are not the same. I have a set of 69 fb pedals,they are still mounted to the brace.It still has the switch that keeps you from starting it,unless its pushed.Let me know if your interested.

Thanks for the help guys. My pedal assembly is fine, I just wanted to get new rubber and trim for them.

I see lots of rubber/trim kits on eBay but they are all 67-68 or 70-81....
