I,m posting this for a friend who is trying to replace the brakes on his '68. He has a new master cylinder, calipers, wheel cylinders, hoses(which will need to be modified), ect. The problem is that his car is missing the caliper-to-hose bracket on both sides and we have been unable to find any source for them. If it were missing just one I think we might be able to fabrictate the other but without one to use as a template thats going to be very hard to do. He had ordered most of the parts form The Right Stuff and they don't have them. Tried D&R and recived camaro brackets. Tried Ames, PY, and most everyone else we could think of, all to no avail. Any ideas on who might have them ?
Where are you on Long Island. I have a pair for you to use as a template, or if I decide not to use them, we can work something out. PM me. I will be out of town tomorrow till next Wednesday.
They won't work as a bolt on but my buddy frabicated new ones from these by welding some new metal to these. He didn't have a model to work from but did an incredible job. They work like a champ!
Unfortunately, I don´t have an extra pair of them; mine are already installed. But I was looking for them too a while back. Yellowbird mentioned a source, perhaps you´ll ask her?
