Stupid question time. After sitting for the winter I took the Bird out for a drive and noticed the distinct smell of burning oil. Then to my horror I saw the lovely blue cloud coming out of my tail pipe. I have a sprint 6 in the car and there's the tube that leads from the oil fill pipe to the air cleaner. Is there a snowball's chance that the oil is being sucked back up the pipe and being dumped in the wrong way? Deep in my heart I don't think this is possible but I'm hopeing like hell I don't have a ring or something going out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It might be a ring, or it might be valve seals. In either case, look for a pool or puddle in the air cleaner housing below the square filter at the exit of the breather tube.
If there is a pool, then keeping the oil out of the air cleaner housing should be the first step. Checking compression and leak down will rule out seals and rings.
