I think I have an oil leak coming from my trans lines at the transmission. I took lines off and removed the fitting going into the trans. It looks like a seal on the end of the adapter but at the local NAPA store they claim I should be using a tapered pipe thread what I have is a straight thread with what I think is a metal seal. Does anyone know for sure what is correct?
The brass fittings I'm real sure use NPT in the transmission case itself, that an inverted flare fitting secures to. It's probably 1/4" male pipe thread into the trans and accept the metal lines that are, I believe, 3/8 inverted flare (could be 5/16) Greg
