Can someone please help me ID what kind of auto transmission is on my 68 FB. The pan is square on two ends. The other two ends are at a 45 degree angles. Both of the angle ends are not the same. One is a longer angle than the other. Sorry for the poor description. I always thought I had a TH350 but I do not think this is the case. Polyglide? _______ | | | | | | \ / \______ Again sorry for the horrible drawing. It looks something like that. sort of. Thanks
Awesome site thanks. But I do not see my trans pan there. This is a 2 speed auto trans. No I am really mistified to what is really in this bird.I wish I could post a pic to show you.
It could very well be original. That's what mine has. My guess is that they used this transmission for all auto-trans applications except the 400 cars, which received th-400s.
You have an ST-300 Tranny if it looks like this (which is what you describe)This is an ST-300 tranny off a 1968 350 2bbl combo i picked up for spare parts. You may want to try posting a parts wanted ad here and over on PY or PZ.Most guys can't give those trannies away.

I found a pan in great shape and it is sand blasted and primed. What should I paint it? Does anybody recommend any kind or type of paint for the trans pan? thanks again.
