I just bough a '69 firebird which i believe is the "Sprint 6" model. Where can i get tuning information and pictures of the car (body and engine bay)? It's been repainted, which leaves it without the original decals. Any information on this seemingly rare 'bird would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
[Blue, I have a Sprint That I restored to it's original condition. I'm in the process of chroming the engine compartment now. You can get the info you need from obtaining a chilton's repair manual(firebird 1967-81 edition) from chilton book co. Chilton way, Radnor PA. 19089 This covers alot of useful info. Send me a message at my email address dougroshto@aol.com and I'll try and send you some pics of my bird.
Are you looking for the stock tune up charts, or for hot rod tuning? Get yourself a service manual. It will be invaluable in keeping the OHC running strong. I've owned mine for 12 years and have quite a library of info that I can share. Also, check out www.poci.org. There is a Overhead Cammers Chapter just for these cars.
