looking for a 69 convertible for the wife. i have a 69 ss 396 camaro myself. the codes are sort of similar but please help if possible by supplying any info you can about this car...
Number on motor block 066707 YT Number on Firewall Body by Fisher ST-69-22367-LOS502654 TR 202 73-4 09B X140 Serial Number 223679L101734
from the YT motor code i see it is a 400 auto (YT 8 400 330 10.75:1 4 BC Auto. Firebird 400), but is the 066707 # right for this car?
trim tag info i found out is 1969 Pontiac Firebird Convertible The paint was Verdoro Green (73-4)?? it's painted Expresso Brown now. The trim color and material were Medium Gold Vinyl. guess this was an option with the green? (uuck-think it matches the brown better)
This car was number 502,654 built in the 2nd week of September at the Van Nuys, California plant.
think the 4 may be an A which would mean Convertible Top Color Codes A - Ivory White ????
guess the X140 was a plant code and means nothing (same case as my camaro which was a 12C car from LA.)
vin shows 223679L101734 1969 Pontiac Firebird V8 Convertible This car was the 1,734 made at the Van Nuys, California plant.

that 066707 # is just another meaningless code I beleive. If I remember right to find out if that is the correct engine the VIN# is stamped on the right of the timing chain cover. Thats all the help I can give at this time but If I see or read different I will advise you...
