I purchased a 69 firebird that was lost in a barn for a while. It was suppose to have a 350 in it . Come to find out the engine had been swapped for a 400. The code on the engin is XH , Head casting 62 . Can you provide The break down for this engine, and also what vehicle would it be from? Thanks and any help would be appreciated. pch4@famvid.com

I have a 68 firebird..was originaly a 350 was changed to a 400. the numbers stamped on the block are 400 GM-5 DN

Anyone know where I can trace them? find out what year make etc. it came form? Thanks

You can go to the Pontiac Historic Services website and request an information packet for $35 which will include; A copy of the factory invoice or billing history, a letter decoding the options, a copy of the dealer order for that year, an offical photo and other specific info. for you year and model. Well worth the cost to obtain this kind of information. Good Luck!
