my 67 had to old quarter window takes two hands to get up problem, er i should say to hands to roll up problem
so i just replaced the lower rollers as that seems to fix the problem for most people, well i am not so lucky, my quarter windows still need some help to get up i believe the problem is that the upper 2 rollers are also worn but i cant seem to find anyone who sells them, or am i not looking in the right places
does any one know who sells the upper rollers for rear quarter windows?
or does anyone have any other suggestions as to what else should try to fix the window problem?
The problem with the reproduction rollers is that they don't have the ~0.020" relief cut into both sides like the factory rollers. Once you tighten them down, there's no way for them to spin because they bind without the relief. I had a friend machine the reliefs in for me after Rick's told me I was out of luck.
BTW, replacing the upper rollers did more for my windows than the single bottom roller.
thanks guys so ricks has QW-4 the upper rear roller (or maybe front, whichever has the spring with it) what about the other upper roller, do i just get another QW-4 and throw away the spring, are they the same? or did i just not see the other upper roller?
