In the trunk area of my '69 there seems to be what appears to be some kind of vent tube that comes out of the body around the bumper area and twist's inside the trunk interior and project's in the fuel tank filler tunnel area.This looks factory but the tank doesn't have a vent on it. Any idea's? Thanks

the new tank I've got does'nt have a vent at the neck,I guess I trip down to the rad shop and get one installed Thanks

Or just use a vented gas cap.

Yeah: that the trick I checked factoy parts manual and early '69s had vent on neck late ones have a vented cap,new tanks only are avaliable with non-vented neck.Thanks.
