I can't find a way to get email notifications to posts that I have participated in. Is this an option of the software that could be enabled or am I just missing something?
I only see an option "Be notified by email when someone sends you a private message? " It hasn't been working either for private messages. I checked my email address and it looks to be entered correctly. Would sure like to receive notifications so I don't miss a response. Anyone else actually getting notifications?
Im sorry, its in the options at the bottom of the full reply form, Ken...just check the email notification box, as I think its UN-checked by default. Charlie
Ok. I normally just use the "Quick Reply" and it does not have that. I still think there should be an option under profile preferences to have it on by default if you want. Now I need to see if that check box is there when doing a new post. Thanks, that helps a lot.
Ken , its there , you just have to use the "Add reply" , not the "quick reply" (the quick reply was just added a couple of months ago, so it may confuse you to what you were used to) it looks like this at the bottom w check boxes: Email Notification: emails sent to you whenever someone replies.
It must just be me. I got rid of the Quick Reply option so I could be sure I am always able to select the Notification option for replies. But I still do not receive notifications. So if I fail to respond to someone please send me a direct email or PM. Thx.
Wow, I had no idea that was happening. I wonder if there is anything I can do to fix this. I really hate to miss any notifications. I know it bugs me when I am expecting a response to a posting and it goes unanswered. Maybe I can use an alternate email address.
Outside chance ATT will remove us from their black list as we should not be listed and they made a mistake. It is poor management for us to be listed as a blacklisted source as we do not spam and simply looking at the message headers will show our email was spoofed. I love companies that do a poor job!?!?
Bingo. I changed my email to an alternate and just got notification of this post. Sorry for the previous bounces but I had no way of knowing about that. Looks like it will be ok now.
Geoff, Are my notifications being bounced again? Alltel is shutting down their email service so I switched my email address to my Gmail account but am not getting any notifications. Just wondering if Gmail is causing problems.
Im not sure that maybe my problem is the ding-dang check box not getting checked for notification when I do a reply. I wish that were always checked, I always forget to look.
