It's funny you said that. A gentleman chased me down and followed me home. His girlfriend told him "nice Camaro." He wouldn't stand for that, so he proved her wrong. Nice people, I enjoyed talking with them. Now if I could just get the convertible back from paint.
well, in defense of the "blond" *,its hard to tell without the front end on it ,plus no emblems,and I`m sure she didnt notice the 'beak'.....
* I`m assuming here ,but...lol
I sat at an outside place eating burgers once with my bird parked right there in front of me ..there are two guys next table over, not knowing it was my car, one goes " nice GTO", the other guy , "oh no, its a Firebird" ,..."how do you know" ...the "smart" guy:" it says so right there on the fender" !
Nice toi have it back! Looks good....so when are you going to be driving it? spring is soon!
Thanks for all the kind words. I couldn't wait so I took it for a little spin when I pulled it off the trailer, had to blow some of the cobbwebs out of that 455. I do still have the matching numbers 350. I always thought the interior was pretty nice, and all original to boot, but now it doesn't quite measure up to the exterior. You all know what comes next but so far I've not found a vendor that lists deluxe parchment interior, for a bench seat. I'll call around see. If not maybe I can use the bucket seat backs and have an upholstery shop build the bottom. We'll see.
Check w/PUI. They have the correct Parchment Pearl for the '69 and should be able to make up a set for you. You may have to send them the original as a template, but they should be able to get it done for you.
If you need a supplier to call (since PUI will not sell direct) call Camaro Central (they are in Lexington, KY. PUI is located in Louisville, KY) at 800 990-1969 and ask Shawn to call PUI and see what they will do. Just tell Shawn I told you to call.
