Would like to know what options I have for replacing a carburetor on my 1967 Firebird 326. The car currently has a Rochester 2bbl on it. If I change to either a Holley or Edelbrock, etc. do I have to replace the intake manifold? Or, are there any "stock" options out there for a new carburetor? I have had mine rebuilt so many times I think it is beyond hope.
Rodey70, there are many way's you can go. If you want to stay stock try a few places like: http://www.customrebuiltcarbs.com/http://www.customcarbs.com/http://www.blake.com/oemcarbs/index.htm They all offer a variety of stock options. You could send yours as a core and get a stock replacement, or upgrade slightly... Or if you stray from stock you can get a Holley 2 bbl or go with a new intake and carb. Either in stock form or aftermarket... It all depends on what your looking for and what you prefer!
