I just bought a 68 Firebird coupe. All the paint codes match and the VIN # and stamping on cowl have not been messed with. Strange thing I've noticed..It's a Van Nuys built car that was built in 4D (April/last week) 1968 but the VIN Ending is L104937. Seems like a very early sequence # for an April build date...I have another 68 Firebird, Lordstown built..build date 2C (February/3rd week) and a VIN ending U145xxx or 45,000th car..Question: Did Van Nuys start late in building Firebirds in 68 or what's the deal with it?
