I am wondering how much the color of a convertible will change the value? The car is white with a red interior white dosnt say much to me so i was thinking red. It is a backyard restoration. Dont know which way to go. Thanks Jimmy D
if you are doing the car for you and not a resale, paint it what ever color you want. make the car yours, if you ever get rid if it they can always change it back
"re-sale red" is popular ( mine is) , but I`d prefer the original color , unless its a really bad one...'value' is depending on IF you are selling it and to whom.... my friend has a white convertible ,it looks good esp when we park together with my other friend with his blue convertible! red, white and blue convertibles ,side by side....
with red interior its tough to pick colors, not many choices, red body or white or black are probably your best choices... black looks GREAT , but hard to keep clean and is one of the hardest colors to paint...the lighter you paint it (white!) the easier it is , white is the color that will show LEAST FLAWS if you do an inexpensive paint job!!
I had a 1979 trans am it was white with red birds and red interior..You wouldnt believe how nice that looked..I wish I wouldnt have sold it but..I bought a 1979 10th anniversary trans am with the money so it was a pretty good trade..If,I were you..I would keep it white with red interior you'll be glad you did..It will look very sharp.

When I built my car, I considered red but it seemed like three-fourths of the f-bodies I saw were red. So I went with the original color. Limelight green. Sure got alot of compliments at shows. You will be driving it so paint it like you want it. Barry.
Painting my 69' convertible Red with black top and interior. Originally was Midnight Green but I just couldn't do green for myself, although it does look good on other FGF I think.
