and thanks Bjorn, I didn't cut any corners.. and I got two strippers lined up for our first car meet/video shoot.... and no car....

Looks like the front end is sitting a little high. You might want to think of some different springs. wink

I'm headed for post 531 myself.. it's gonna be awesome.. but not as good as 539.

Bob buddy, I had to put the oversized springs in it because there are usually a bunch of fat chicks on the hood..

and putting the motor back in lowers it some too...

sing to me Bill.

I'm very happy with the Rodney Red radiator.. $575 with shipping and cap.. polish it yourself... also, no painted logo anymore, only stamped on top.

PS - Front sitting a little high.

....But, they tend to do that with no engine installed.

Looks great, JM. Although I prefer the shade of blue in your original posted photo.

Now, who is doing initial setup and testing of your block prior to you driving it out of the shop?

thanks, and you are right.. the other blue did look better for some reason..

I'm going to have the motor dyno'd... they got a new hundred thousand dollar set up. We are going to film it for their website, and I'll post the hp results here.

Awesome.

I've been doing backyard, home garage classic car work for a long time. Always wished I could do that work surrounded by smart guys in white smocks, with high tech systems in place to get the task done correctly.

I'll tag along as you do this engine job right, my friend. Wish I could be there with you.

I need another pair of ears for sure.

The Dyno is $500 for the day. They expect 3 pulls to get it right. After that, it is ready to drop in the bay. I think it is "broke in" too, but I'll still keep my foot out of it the first day. smile

I think you are going to have to take it easy on her for the first 1000-1500 miles. I'm sure the techs will tell you how to drive her for the first month or so.

Johnny, why do you have a picture of my car in your post? laugh They look like twins now. OK, except yours is a '67 and has a blue interior.

So what color blue is that? Have any better pictures? The color looks very close to mine in that photo, but I have no idea what the PO used.

Oh, and since my is pretty, I guess yours is too.

I posted a really good paint photo in tech help..

It's Bill Hirsch paint, 66-72 pontiac metallic blue early

The can also has some more numbers I didn't include before.

5670-6050 batch# 24303
ST T 12306

The pictures really don't do it justice. I am very pleased with the color.

Whats going on top? I see you have your crossovers blocked. Will you have an "H" or "X" exhaust crossover? What cam did you install? Head numbers? Any porting done? Overbore? Stock points or HEI?

C'mon man! I gotta know!!

Some days ago I asked for more pics. I got what I wanted...
I think someone like me is called a perfectionist - you´re in the same league but I can´t keep your pace.

Way to go!

Cheers
