Does anyone have a source for parchment headliners? I'd prefer the bedford grain but will tolerate the perforated if it's available in the right color. Ames only has white, and I don't think it will look right with all the trim being parchment.
If no headliner that comes parchment, has anyone ever dyed one? If so, how did you do it?
In their new Firebird catalog (online download option at http://www.classicindustries.com/downloadcatalog02.htm )ClassicIndustries offers reproduction premier grade vinyl headliners for 68-69 style: #K12007 68-69 parchment, USD 49.95, including replacement visor material and rear sail panel material for a complete replacement, it´s shown on page 87 of their new catalog. On page 86 they even offer one in OEM bedford ribbed for 68-69 style: #K16007 68-69 parchment, USD 54.95, including extra material for visors and rear sail panels, too. Don´t know if they are in stock or if they would fit a 67 Firebird. Perhaps you just give them a call?
Tim - Last month I emailed PUI directly and got all the info I asked for concerning my intereior. Response was very good on my many questions. I would try asking them rather than one of their resellers at first.
Headliner was most definitely parchment. I pulled it out because all the seams had pulled apart and it was hanging down all over the place. I have the sail panels, but they got forgotten outside in the rain so they're pretty useless now.
I'll try the classic catalog again... last night I tried downloading it and for some reason, all the pages were visible except the ones the headliners were on.
I'll also query PUI directly too. I was at Carlisle yesterday and was able to speak in person with the Ames and PY people. Classic doesn't bring any merchandise to the show, just catalogs, so I didn't even bother approaching them.
