or better yet why I don't own a Buick. I just got home from Indianapolis Raceway Park (home of the US Nationals) after attending the Buick Horsepower Nationals. Now the only reason me, my Dad, daughter and a buddy went was to see the 50 fastest musclecars go head to head on the dragstrip. This info was in most of the car mags in recent months. We arrived around 9am to about 50 show cars and a few hundred spectators. The racing started at 11am and we were looking forward to it. Well after a couple hours of watching GS and Grand Nationals racing each other, some over and over, we finally went and found the information tent. I was told that the 50 fastest musclecars event happened on Wednesday and Thursday morning and the turnout was "not very good". Well I wonder why the heck not? Come on people this should and could have been a big-time event to be held on Saturday and Sunday not mid-week. Better yet why not do it at Super Chevy? Although we were disappointed, the racing wasn't half bad and I enjoyed watching Dad and my daughter try to pick winners for each race. I remember doing that with him when I was her age. Still I know the Pontiac people would have done it right.
