Any 1969 trans am mint or scrap is going to bring in top dollar.Just because the car is a 1969 trans am and very rare. I will also agree with you Jim the odds of finding one that is correct to every matching nut & bolt is slim to none. So if you have the money for one you buy what you can.
Okay, from my personal ignorance sprouts a few questions. Is the 115 code for the tilt column? Is that the right steering wheel? No tach, no "Trans Am" gauges?
And no, I don't have an agenda, just wanting to know!
There's one major difference between this one and the last two. A difference in the way the auction is run. Let's see if not having the bidders identities hidden changes the number of bids and the amounts.
Does any one in this group know the guy down in florida thats selling The 1969 trans am basket case car for $10,000. I believe he's from Fort Meyers area?
I'm in Fort Myers -- I'm not aware of the sale. Got a link? I did see a very bad clone for sale the other day. Basically, a white Firebird somebody painted stripes on.

That wouldn't bother me. I sold a car once on eBay. A local guy came and looked at it, said he had no intention on bidding on it, but he might come back if it didn't sell. He said something to the effect that lots of times these things don't work out. Way he was talking gave me the impression that he might try to sabotage the bidding by contacting the other bidders or something. Made me wish I had kept the bidding secret. Luckily it met reserve, and I never saw him again.
There was a beautiful '69 TA at last summer's all-Pontiac Indian Uprising show last year here in NE Illinois. Seeing where that seller is, I wonder if it is the same car? I recall hearing that it was recently restored. I only took one picture of that car.
I agree Mike. It can be alright. Did you ever want a car that the auction was run with anonymous bidders? Bidding is a trip! It's like boxing with ten people in the dark! I would rather go to the persons house and offer cash.
i run all my auctions with the bidders identies hidden.i got sick of other sellers emailing my customers trying to sell the same part to them cheaper.also,it is no one elses business who is buying what from who.
The 1969 trans am for sale in the Fort Myers area the body was solid but the floor pans, trunk, frame rails were gone. It sat on the ground for years with out tires on it. But it was a true trans am. He was asking $10,000 it was a Ram Air III with auto. If it wasnt so rough and far away from me I would have bought it. Im sure he still has it.
