Yesterday was the Chicago area "Indian Uprising" all-Pontiac show. 348 Pontiacs were registered and I counted 20 1st Gens attending.


A beautiful '69 TA won Best in Show.


One of last year's Best in Show - the most beautiful '68 around.


And somebody left their chicken alone in the car all day.

No trophy for me. There were many cars there better than mine. But I'm already working on some improvements from things I saw and experts I talked with.

Jim, it's too bad you didn't win anything. When I saw that 69TA there, I knew there was trouble for any first gen firbird at the show. A beautiful car, but undriveable on the street, for obvious reasons.

Had fun anyways. What a great showing of Pontiacs. I enjoyed seeing some of Arnie's old race cars.

Great pics Jim! I think its pissed at me. All it said on the way home was bawk bawk bawk. I dont know what it means but im sure it aint good. Talk about HIGH QUALITY cars. Great time!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bill

Sorry I couldnt make it this year guys. My brother in law was off to college for the first time so I had our son all day. I did think about taking him up there,,,,, but a 15 month old in a black/black FGF on a 1.5 hour drive with no AC..... Wouldnt have been a happy baby.

Looks like a great event, glad some of you were there to show off that FGF pride. Whats with the 69 TA and the un-street-worthy comment above?? Did the car have issues?
