The Ames catalog says "We have predominantly seen black washer bottles used originally on 1967-69 Firebirds."
I am going to get a white one purely from the point of view that it is a heck of a lot easier to notice the fluid level when under the hood.

In Year Ones catalog ( they usually have pretty reliable info.) it states that the ones they sell (part no 82N new GM $ 11.95) are white and below it says : " 1967-69 models washer jar has the correct cap and shape , but the original jar was black. It mounts by sliding into a bracket" Bjorn
I too have read all the catalogs that state that the washer jars were originally black, but I have been messing with '67-'69 Firebirds since 1978 and I have never seen a black washer bottle from the factory. I currently have an original white (now somewhat yellow) washer bottle for my '69 and have looked at numerous '67-'69 Firebirds and all have had white washer bottles.
Either way would be correct even in at the concourse judging level from what I've been told. I have an original black one in my 67...
Not sure if we'll ever know the real deal on this one? Maybe ask Gary Patrick, or Glenn Uettwiller <birdman@gdi.net> or Steve might have some info on this too? Steve <steve@1968firebird.org> Or maybe Geoff will know off the top of his Archives?
