If I'm not mistaken, I believe there's gonna be a nice FGF on Pinks this Wednesday. Check it out! I will. :-)

For whatever reason that show annoys the heck out of me. I cant really but a finger on it but I think its all the bickering back and forth,,,, maybe its just overproduced? I may have to check it out though if a FGF is on the line

Maybe because it's fake? You really have to use your imagination to make it believable. With that in mind, if you can let loose of your doubt, it's fun watching them race. Especially when the smart guy beats the pants off the dumby. I think what helps me like it is 'fast forward'. There's a solid 10 minutes of action in there!

Wrestling's not real?!!
The bickering IS really annoying... the pointless arguments over whether they're using NOS or not, blah blah blah. I'd prefer to see them run what they bring, straight-up, no car length negotiations, just drop the flag and have both cars & drivers take off at the same time, and may the best car & driver combo win.

It is pretty funny to listen to the "racers" negotiate. Kinda reminds you of a pair of poolroom hustlers trying to out hustle each other.

Fast Forward is definitely the cure for the show. The commercials are the annoying part. Every show uses the same formula for where commercials get inserted. Too many commercials, not enough show. I watch it anyway but I've seen all kindsa crappy starts that supposedly no one "noticed." I like the show where the guy had a fake "bottle." Smart.

Just walk away!
I didn't think much of it initially but the "negotiations" were kinda interesting - until they became more of an action scene than the racing! The TV formula - interrupt the interesting stuff every few minutes, replay bits after the commercials with silly camera zooms and jiggles and the young kids will think they're watching a half hour show! Too much ADD on TV!

Well, while I'm proud that an FGF was involved in what the host said was the best "Pinks" to date, it was still a Camaro with Pontiac sheetmetal. There was a 327 under the "L88" style hood. Probably why he lost

I'm not sure how "real" that show is but the guy who "lost?" the firebird (aka Camaro) looked like he was going to cry.

Yah, this one was just as fake as the rest. What's not fake; Watching a 1968 Firebird do a two foot wheel stand! There's even a moral to the story. Don't take your manual shift car to the track if your pink slip is on the line. They both lost races by missing gears. I'll race with a 400 Turbo any day over the clutch. ![[Linked Image]](http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b376/restorium/pinks001.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b376/restorium/pinks004.jpg) WAHHH WAHHHHHHHHHHHHH ![[Linked Image]](http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b376/restorium/pinks008.jpg)

Yep, that Chevy motor was sabotaging the older brother's efforts by blowing oil all over the clutch.
Revenge?

Hmmm...the owner/builder of this car is selling it? LOL, so much for "Pinks" having any semblance of reality!

Vikki, Part of the deal when they raced was that the loser had to put his car on eBay. The reasoning was that since they were brothers they would give it(the car) back . One problem with the plan was that they set the reserve way too high($42000). The other problem was..... it was fake!

Ah. I skipped all the discussion, I kept channel flipping until they actually ran the cars, then kept the volume down. The only thing I like about that show is the first 60 feet.

something is fishy...
The auction is going to close in a few hours and now it is saying the reserve price has NOT been met.
It had been met the other day at the same price.

By the way, Pinks will be filming this week-end Sept. 22/23 here in the Seattle Area at Pacific Raceway just a few miles from my place. BUT, it's almost the same time as the BOP Drags at the Bremerton Raceway this week-end... Would be interesting to see just how it all goes down... in person!
Brett!
