will a 454 gm motor fit into a 68 bird
and what changes will have to be made

this motor is out of a buick 1972

Since it's out of a Buick it's not a 454. Maybe a 455? A Buick 455 will have the distributor in front.

There are no bolt in mounts that will work. You would have to weld the frame mounts in. If you are dead set I can give you some instructions.

That Buick 455 is a great motor but you will be harder pressed for parts.Probably better off getting a Pontiac 455 for parts and to bolt in unless the price of it is good to pass on.

I like the Buick V-8's too. Nice engines. I must have installed hundreds of them back in the 80's. It's a bolt-in replacement for that piece of doo-doo 231 v-6 that was puking in just about everybodies car back then. That 231 was a money maker!
