Im buying a 69 firebird with a 455 with a the code YA on it can anyone tell me what this means...?

YA is a code for the motor it could be from 72,73 if it's a 455.But you need the codes buy the dist. and behind pass. side head on block.

HO racing labels your 455 a 1972.It was coded in 1965 and 1966 as a 389 and in 1967 a 400. Hope this helps
