That is a decent head for a 350 or 400..Small chamber 72cc's if unmilled. If properly set up, would be a great candidate to choose with some mild port and bowl work. They are high compression heads but can be worked into the pump gas range with some details.

Airplane fuel would have the octane rating you need, but won't have any lead in it, so you'll have to go to hardened seats, anyway. Octane boost has the same effect, but might have more stuff added to it to help lubricate the exhaust valve seat.
If you're thinking of putting these heads on a 455, then you'll have to go whole hog on the head work, run a huge cam and some headers, and generally hate driving it down to the Piggly-Wiggly for a 6-pack. Unless the Piggly-Wiggly happens to be exactly 1320 feet away ....
I want to put them on my 400 wz. i guess i can do the octane thing and the seats have been changed over to accomodate the no lead. that way i can straighten out the pigly wiggly pigs tail as i roar out of there with more than a 6pack
crap! the heads i am looking at might not be a match. the casting on one of them is not there or was ground off and someone restamped a 62 on it. geesh! is there any way to tell if its a match other than a casting number???????
