I am doing the body work on my car this winter wondering what you guys think. should i keep the vinyl or lose it? my wife wants me to leave it off I like it eather way. going carasel red with ta spoiler. thanks Tony

THe vinyl roof on the Firebirds look great IMO. At least on the 67-68 models. Plan to keep mine on my '68.

I`ve had 2 cars w/ vinyl roofs, never again...They LOOK good , but...tend to leak in under, at least gets moisture in under and rusts out...You`ve got to REALLY get it water proof/moisture proof on to the roof...or you`ll have future problems....
I`d paint the roof different color if you want two tone , using the chrome trim ( for the vinyl) for break point....

Go with the vinyl roof. My 69 coupe is carousel red with white vinyl top and looks great.
But its all personel preference. I like to stay as original as possible.
