I JUST PURCHASED A 67 BIRD AND THE PAINT CODE IS K-C CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE COLOR SCHEME OF THIS CAR? MY TRIM TAG SAYS ITS TWO TONED WITH A CHROME STRIP SEPERATING THE COLORS, BUT I DONT REMEMBER A TWO TONE FIREBIRD OTHER THAN A STRIPE OPTION . ALSO HOW DO YOU GO ABOUT GETTING THE P.H.S ON A CAR, I RAN THE TRIM TAG AND FOUND OUT IT WAS A 400 CAR//[3F] I WAS HOPEING I COULD HAVE A RAM AIR OPTIONED CAR .THANKS TOM
That would be Gulf Turquoise with a Cameo Ivory painted roof. If vinyl, the second paint character would have been 1, 2 or 7. Having a second paint code of "C" indicates painted roof. Or, at least, it always has in the past.

Q: Two-tone Paint Where does the two tone split the colors?
A: Two-tone cars look just like vinyl top cars, minus the vinyl. They paint the roof one color, and the rest of the car the other color. The stainless vinyl top moldings are used for the color break. On the firewall dataplate, both colors are listed. If you've ever noticed a single color non-vinyl top car, the paint code is stamped twice, meaning upper and lower color, and vinyl top cars have the vinyl top code at the PNT designation.

do you happen to know what the 5y means at the bottom left corner of my trim tag? my best friend has a 67 r/s s/s camaro that has this code also. it also has a 254-Z trim code I know what the 254 is but not the Z ......... you people are so helpful!!!!!!!!! thanks Tom
Parchment and ivory are not quite the same. 1967 Parchment was an off white. 1968 Parchment is a pearl off white with visible glitter. 1969 Parchment is also pearl, I think, but I'm not sure.

Say what? Most 67 Birds have the Z. Z meaning standard vinyl. As apposed to custom vinyl. EDIT: This post was in response to a post that said no Pontiacs have Z codes, that part has been edited out. edit city LOL
