i bought my second ebay item sept 1 ( 69 auto shift knob).I'M still waiting for it to arrive.i've been in contact with the seller who is looking into it from his end. he send it US MAIL .somewhere between us mail, canada customs or canada mail it seemed to have got lost. no insurance was put on it( i know my fault)know i'm going to have to look for anthor one.do you guys usualy ship UPS or parcel post.do you usualy put insurance on,i guess it depends on the value.just pisses me of that i paid for an item and get nothing.sorry just had to vent.
Insurance, up to $100, is free with UPS. Chances are, that your part will show up. That is, if he sent it. I think the customs paperwork may have a tracking number?
I ordered an item from a Canadian seller one time, and it never showed up either (USPS). The guy was kind enough to send me another one of the same item of which he apparently had a stockpile. There must be some kind of a glitch sometimes when mailing things across the border. Hope it shows up for you eventually.
If you paid with PayPal, you can log a case with them. They will figure it out or give you your money back. I'm in Canada and have ordered quite a few things from the States. I won't buy anything if it is shipped with UPS. Their broker fees are through the roof. I had an $80 part once and the broker fee was $60.
Harry,if you paid via paypal then the onus is on the seller to provide trackable delivery.I would file a claim. Heck anyone can say they sent something and without being able to track it they cannot prove that they sent it or that you did not receive it.I'd try and work something out with the seller. There are 4-6 week delivery methods from the u.s. (economy parcel)as well so do not give up all hope in it not getting to you.I've had things go awry from the u.s but the seller was just trying to save me some $ on shipping and i did eventually receive the items and he sent them out right after payment so.... I'm a postman and have seen some strange things happen.

I have had over 200 items sent up from the US, I try to use USPS on most items as Canada Post on this end charge a nominal $5 brokerage fee whereas UPS/Fedex charge over $30. Kind of makes a good deal on a $20 part go bad!
Generally with USPS I get the item in 1 to 2 weeks air and a week or so lomngher with Ground. On most smaller items air is only a few percent more $.
I had my first item disappear in over 200 items last month, a vent breather tube. It may still arrive but it has been 4 weeks +.
Jim ,i thought of that also.i did pay by paypal.i asked the seller to provide me with a label/receipt number just the other day, haven't heard back yet.the seller had a good reputation.
