Hey guys, well about two weeks ago I picked up a 69 firebird with a 455... runs awsome! fun car.. it needs some work though, it needs some body work.. the whole rearend is primer and the guy before got really happy with a can of bondo! and he cut a hole in the hood to clear the air filter.. so I was wondering if anyone knew of some good places around the seattle area with CHEAP parts Im a college student with little money... and I cant find the casting numbers on the rear to figure out what gears I have? maybe a diferent rear end or something, I dunno.. also does anyone know where a local place to use a dyno is.. car has a lot of power, I just wanna what Im running, thanx
Check w/Brett...He is in your hood...brett@cisdirect.com. He is also on the list. Sounds like some quarters and a 400 hood eh? Your rear code will be 6-8" from center, under brake line, drivers side. may have to remove drivers rear tire to get a good look. May also need scotch brite pads or wire brush and some degreaser to locate..sometimes very hard to find. Good Luck!

Hey Kris, still wanting to see the new beast! Congrats!
Tom is right on the rear end code... let us know what you find on that.
I"ll send a message out to the local group from the club and see if we can find you a 400 hood, or at least a 350 hood for now... to get rid of the hole! We can raid some of the club member's parts stash!
There is a place that I've used in Auburn, Blood Enterprises, they are top notch and will do a straight Dyno run or a Dyno tune. BUT, they are also top Dollar! There is another place in Tacoma that I have some info on, but it's at work, I'll get it in the morning and send you a list.
