I'm considering ordering a 400 reproduction hood for my 68 bird and I'm looking for feedback on fit and overall quality. Anyone? Also suggested manufacturers if known.

I bought a repro 400 hood for my 67.. I have not installed it yet but the quality appears to be great. It's brand spankin' new. It is designed for use with 68-69 hood latches so I think you will be ok. I would try to find a reproduction parts dealer in your area because shipping is probably really high.

From what I've seen, and heard, the Goodmark is of excellent quality and fit. There are some differences, but just in the width of the lip on the sides etc... nothing anyone would even notice. Good fit, and good quality.

Great alternative to the $800 + price some ask from time to time!

My recommendation is for the Goodmark hood. Be sure and ask before ordering to make sure you are getting the Goodmark hood. You can go to their website for a list of authorized distributers.

Ive dealt with Matt on ebay several times and he seems to be a pretty good guy. I recommend him as well for restoration parts.
