It was bad enough that we broke all existing records for rain fall this month already, now we have temps in the 30's and an inch of snow in the last half hour!
I thought about pulling the bird out just to play... but then thought better of it... so my son and the dogs and I went out to play for a little while just for kicks...
As in many areas, they say... if you don't like the weather... wait 15 min!
That weather is supposed to be headed for here Thursday. High 62 tomorrow and 33 by week end. I hope it's not raining in the morning. Sure would like to get a final round of golf in before the winter closes in on the Chicago area.
We should be back to about 45 by Sat... but in the 20's tonight! It's slowed, and we only have 3"-4" so not a big deal... well, if it weren't for the fact that no one here seems to know how to drive if the weather changes at all? Especially snow/ice. Oh well, it makes the commute interesting....
here its 70`s today , AC is on, BUT tomorrow "your" front is coming here , its supposed to be rainy and 33F in Houston thursday night , 28F in Dallas... cold the two days that I`m driving up there for tomorrow ....brrrr...maybe its time to make some Glögg!??
We have been in the 60's for the past week, very unusual. Lots of Firebird driving when normally we are freezing by now. All that goes away this weekend as winter finally decides to roll into Tennessee.
'68 428 HO M3 Monster, 4-on-the-floor! Need I say more?
I turned on the football game last night and called the wife in to look at the field in Green Bay. I was sure I was seeing a Packers home game until the field thawed enough to see the seahawk logo.
More snow in a few hours here on the we(s)t coast...sorry, Bjorn, we decided to keep those larger flakes up here for another day! 20 degrees F today, 45-50 tomorrow...what a roller coaster. Should make for some interesting skating rinks on the highways tomorrow nite!

Dave the weather is just another excuse to stay in the garage and work on the car Decided to start ol' blue up this morningt just because. Light snow falling here at the moment.
Snow? What's that stuff? I’ve been driving the cammer every day. Once the salt hits the roads, I’ll put the cover over it for its winter nap. The convertible is on stands. I’m waiting for the holidays to end to put a Pypes exhaust system on, along with the long branch manifolds. Also in the works are a set of new red line radial shoes on reconditioned rallyIIs.
Well, this will be interesting from me. The Weather Service just upped our chances for snow to 80% for tonight. Besides some trips to the mountains, I have not seen the white stuff in many years.
Glad I checked out my 4 X 4 this morning. My happy battery purchased in Phoenix got cold and died.

Well, I didn't get that final golf in. It was close to 60F but it rained almost constantly. Now it's 26F and several inches of snow are expected tonight and tomorrow.
I believe that TohCan...especially in Alberta (where I lived the first 24 years of my life)......here's what someone sent me that they picked up from an Alberta newspaper a few days ago....some may find it Amusing, especially when you knoe how a snowfall affects people here on the coast!

Day 2 - Vancouver Blizzard 2006 - Revenge of the Commuters
Chilled Vancouver commuters faced their second day of winter hell today,as an additional ¼ centimetre of the peculiar white stuff fell, bringing the lower mainland to its knees and causing millions of dollars worth of damage to the marijuana crops. Scientists suspect that the substance is some form of frozen water particles and experts from Saskatchewan are >being flown in.
With temperatures dipping to the almost but not quite near zero mark, Vancouverites were warned to double insulate their lattes before venturing out.
Vancouver police recommended that people stay inside except for emergencies, such as running out of espresso or biscotti to see themthrough Vancouver's most terrible storm to date. The local Canadian Tire reported that they had completely sold out of fur-lined sandals.
Drivers were cautioned to put their convertible tops up, and several have been shocked to learn that their SUV's actually have four wheel drive, although most have no idea how to use it.
Weary commuters faced soggy sushi, and the threat of frozen breast implants. Although Dr. John Blatherwick, of the Coastal Health Authority reassured everyone that most breast implants were perfectly safe to 25 below, down-filled bras are flying off the shelves at Mountain Equipment Co-op.
"The government has to do something," snarled an angry Trevor Warburton. "I didn't pay $540,000 for my one bedroom condo so I could sit around and be treated like someone from Toronto."
Greating from central Illinois snow bank. Well folks i ended up with almost 10 inches with drifts up to 3-4 feet on the north south roads. To top it all off it had to sleet/freezing rain to the tune of a 1/2inch of ice. Dug the Jeeper out and went about a 1/4 mile down the road(took 5 Mins). Have fun all...of to try and drive 90 miles for drill....otta be fun. Daren
I saw some snow in Dallas. Barely a dusting, they called it an inch, but just like in MD, TX tries to get as much mileage as they can from a flake of snow. Ice storms, on the other hand, can be pretty nasty. I saw a few ice storms, I do recall 2 of them one with 4" of ice and the other with 6". The problem is that they don't have/use road salt in Dallas. Maybe the panhandle may use but Dallas doesn't.
Onr thing that can be predicted about TX weather: Between Sept/May if I can do it in Canada, it can do it in TX.
Dave, that was quite amusing! That works for a lot of the new arrivals from Toronto as well! Usually takes a couple days for people to remember that snow fell last winter and they were able to drive then, too!
Darn snow! Like Jim said, over a foot here just north of Chicago.
Jim, I drove down Milwaukee thsi afternoon to get to work, it was pure trash. Ruts and ice everywhere. I get to Libertyville and the streets were perfect.
