This the first new interior I have ever had. I was a little disappointed in my selection of colors. They looked good when I was selecting them but then after I picked up the car I wished I had studied them a little more. I was going for two-tone grey and I got two-tone brown/tan/taupe or some such color. Its looks ok, just not what I had invisioned.
P.S. I am missing two of the female receptacle rear seat belts if anyone has some for sale.
it´s always a little disappointing when things don´t come the way you have expected them to be. Nevertheless I think your interior can´t look any better. Color matches the blue very well. I doubt a two-tone gray would have been looking better. Probably more boring... Very well done! Just my 0.2 cents Cheers
Thomas
PS: I´m always searching the net for worthwhile Firebird pics. Be asured your pics have been added to my personal folder...
Never thought about 2 tone. I like it. What's the deal with the 78 steering columns in our 1st Gens? Mine has the same wheel & horn cover. I dropped the column & 1978 is stamped on it. Anyway, nice job on the interior.
Thanks for the encouraging words guys. I guess Im the type that is not happy to be hung with a new rope. LOL.
The old TA steering has got to go. It was ok and fit right in when the interior was ratty but now I need something nicer. I have a couple of billet wheels spotted on ebay.
Hey Thomas, I looked over your website, there must be something wrong with it. About half the words are gibberish, I can't read hardly any of it.
I really like the color match. I have the same color car and would love to do just what you did, too bad my upholstery is almost new. Maybe I should take the mouse trap out of my car, caught 2 in there since I put my car in storage 3 weeks ago. Can hardly find the trap among all the drier sheets. Hummmm.
The mind is a funny thing, and this is a good example - To all of us, that interior looks beautiful and just right....but to your pre-conceived brain and expectations, it does not meet your desired look.
What I'm saying is it looks fantastic to everyone but you!
