I had to share this. This car is a coupe transformed into a vert. I talked with the owner on the phone and he said there really isn't much difference. Just cosmetic........

Oh my! I didn't realize all thoses reinforcement structures, braces and dampeners were not necessary.

He swears it never sags a bit. Quote, "All it needs is for you to find a rusty convertible to swap all the tags off of and nobody will even know the difference."

There is an additional cross brace on a convertible belly as well as the x pan and some braces under the rear seat.

There's hidden stuff but for visible stuff: vibration Dampeners, convert brace under car, no doorjam vent (at least in '68), solid trunk to rear seat divider.

The guy said he has a serious buyer that is searching for a vert with tags before he commits to buying. The car will be around, if you know what I mean.

Vert rocker panels are reinforced. I don't think you can tell from the outside.

This guy actually told me he cut a convertible rocker in half and it was the same. I think he spent some time on rehersing the 'question and answer' before he advertised. Quote, "Only difference under there is that X panel and they bolt right on".
