Don't want to get anybody's panties all up in a bunch but seeing as how it's the end of the year, anything happening on the calender front?

I asked the same question about 1 week ago. Not one response. I don't know what the deal is.

I think that you need a volunteer(s) to judge the beauty contest and then another(s) to do all the work with the pics.

Rust belt or no, they all need what he did. He saved a car. Something to put in the 'lifetime accomplishments' column. It will last just about forever now.

I love seeing any classic car return to life. When it's a 1st Gen, it's even better.

Agreed, beautiful she already is. Just being an first generation makes her a 10 not matter what condition she looks like. But it is coming out great i cant wait for mine to be like that. hopefully soon enough it will be.
so whats the deal with these calenders...did someone make some last year?
If we found some good pictures we can throw one together quickly on shutterfly.

Are you asking for picture donations? I've got a picture I've been saving. As long as you promise I don't get cut. Next time someone tells me I'm in and cuts me I'm coming to their house.[Linked Image] laugh

I thought Smitty and Vikki were collaborating on one. Or did that fall though?

I'm not doing anything over the holidays but car shopping and family stuff, and Smitty's been conspicuously absent for a while.

I might have a photo to submit if someone else adopts the project.

Smitty and Vikki were collecting pics. Maybe they can forward what they've got so far. The one who does the calendar has the power to choose - but then has to listen to the complaining later on.

I would grab the first 12 decent pics and go with it. Nobody can argue with 'first come, first serve'. If that would have happened last time there wouldn't have been any complaints.

Send pictures my way. I will take the project on and use my soon to be finished updated eStore to manage the piece. This way I can throw in a couple free ones to Drew who I still owe a shirt to from a year ago.

Send pictures to the following address if you want to have your First Generation Firebird considered: Geoff@FirstGenFirebird.org

The higher the resolution the better as anything with too little will not work:
1. TIFF or JPEG formatting with no or minimal compression.
2. Try to keep file size below 6MB.
3. File Needs to be at least 1280 x 960.
4. First 12 pictures I pick will be considered for qualification.
A. Minimal background
B. Background matching season may be picked over another.
C. Put "Firebird Calendar" in subject of email
D. I have soul discretion and have the right to tell anyone upset with what I picked to bug off.
E. Insert what ever legal garbage I need here.

That'll be great Geoff. It'll be interesting to see how many sell. Emailed my entry last night. Too bad we didn't get this together in time for christmas orders.

Our car was chosen for a 2008 Auto Zone Calendar, kinda cool, should be interesting as it will feature a car model from CA. The photo shoot takes place this May in Vermont I beleive...

Viking, I gotta kind of agree with Vikki on this one. I like the cars and I enjoy the models but I think one detracts from the other.
68. That's pretty cool. Do all of the cars chosen have to get to Vermont somehow to be photographed? Sounds like a PITA.
