I have all the aprts in and am beginning the interior restoration on my Bird. I am relacing everything and am lookin for some input on the rear quarters, arm rest and the panel that goes next to the seat (not sure what it is called). ANy advice on how to:
recover the rear side panels order to put the pieces together in installing a headliner recover the sail panels
I'm looking at replacing my headliner as well. I really suggest reading previous posts on this site. There seems to be a constant throughout each posting: patience.
I have none, so it's to the upholsterer for me.

That seems to be the issue. From a step by step process it seems simple enough, just requires that ugly "P" word.
I've always heard start from the top and work down. Headliner, aile panels, pillar post moldings, dash pad, door panels, rear interior panels, carpet. That is the plan I intend to take, but I am looking at $300 to $500 for installation of the Headliner and the new Vinyl top. Just thinking I can do it and use that money elsewhere.
