Yes,they are supposed to light up.Not sure what bulbs are used or where to get them though.

On a 69 the socket is part of the dash wiring harness and just plug into the back of heater controlls small bulb plugs into socket. I also have a 68 heater controll unit in my shed of parts I collected. I will see if I can walk down to garage later and check bulb size and # as I have dash of my 69 and will be easy to look at.

Same heater controls for 67' and 68' so they should be the same bulb but stranger things have happened

I may have saved the dash wiring harness as well from the 68 parts car I had and will look for it and heater controll as well. If I still have it you are welcome to it. Will post here if I find it. Stephen
