Looks like a nice car. Also looks like a few things have been changed from original equipment. Not neccesarily a bad thing unless you wanted an original ride. It's a lot of dough.
28k? I like the original rebuilt 400...with aluminum E heads. Car shows no 400 bumper, grills or trunklid, motor not original to car and was likely NOT a true 400 car.
About 10k overpriced if it was anything other than a 400 off the line then add $500 to fix that CB/shortwave antenna.
IMO, buy a convertible that needs paint and has the original engine. So you can build it the way you want and paint it the color you want.

$22-$25K tops if the sheetmetal is free of filler. Guy's got some bucks in the engine but the rest of the car I'd have to question as being a 400.
Depends on what you want though. Lot of stuff isn't correct but I'm not a purist anyway. I'd check to make sure the X brace is there, that's a lot of ponies in a unibody vert.
You couldn't build it for less than 20-25K.
Wanting a Custom fit in an off the rack world.
I don't have time for a job, I just need the money.
I think its a nice car , orig motor with Edelbrock additions , like heads ,intake , prob carb., nice paint ., I like the color...its a convertible..if no rust ,which I doubt being a CA car , my estimation it should bring $22-25 ,just like ho428 says....I hope so, otherwise I have WAAAY to much into mine... maybe offer $23 and see where it goes... normal bargaining is around 15% = 23,800
and if no X brace (mine was missing) its an inexpensive piece to buy +_ $85 if I remember right...
From the looks of the water pump it looks like it has been apart meny times. Better check that it is not over heating all the time. I would also send for PHS doc's to see if it is a real 400. could be a big difference in price.
Unless you paint or build motors yourdelf, one can NEVER get out of a car what is spent.
I disagree- somewhat. Certainly in the short term, you will lose money if you try to "flip" a car the same way people "flip" houses, (paying someone to fix it up, then sell for a profit). However, if you hold a classic car long enough, it will go up in value every year, as opposed to a regular car that loses 15% a year. The key is that it has to be a real classic, that's in demand, and that is mostly original, or at least professionally and tastefully modified. The car in question here seems to be on the hairy edge- it is not original and the modifications are questionable. For 30k I'd expect an all original vert.
I'd have to agree that it is overpriced for what i see but none the less it looks to be a decent car, just too much dough.

Yep, you guys nailed it. He doesn't have any doc's and it has the 350 tranny so I am sure the 400 is not original. I could not see the numbers on the block because some hardware had been moved from its original position. Pretty poor job preping for paint...bubbles and over-spray. The whole restore looks fairly iffy. Certainly not worth 28k...more like 18k. Thanks a lot for the advice. You guys rock at spotting the little details from pictures and I felt more prepared when I saw the car. Wish me luck...the hunt continues...
